Integrating Children's Service

Services to Children and Young People in Derby

In Derby we are looking at ways to improve services to Children and Young People and their families. We are aiming to bring together a number of services, for example health, education, social services and the voluntary sector.

Why Are We Doing This?

We believe that bringing services together will allow staff to work closer together and offer better support services for YOU. It will also make services simpler and easier to understand and allow us to help you, when you need it, before problems get out of hand.

Using the "Discuss" button to the right, you can anonymously give your opinions on how services for Children and Young People in Derby can be improved.

Outcomes

Through talking with Children and Young People right across the UK, including Derby, five key outcome areas have been defined that are needed for your well-being. These are:

- Be Healthy (physical, mental, emotional and sexual)
- Stay Safe (from harm, bullying, crime, accidents and discrimination)
- Enjoy and Achieve (school, recreation, reach your potential)
- Make a Positive Contribution (develop self confidence, voluntary work, play a part in decision making)
- Achieve Economic Well-Being (access to transport, live in a home with enough money to live on, get a job, apprenticeship, college or sixth form place when you leave school)
