Rosliston Forestry Centre has 154 acres of land with lots of things for you to do.

You can walk along paths through lots of trees, past ponds with ducks and there are plenty of places to run around as well as benches to sit down on and rest.



If you are hungry there is a café as well as picnic tables for you to eat at.

There is a great adventure playground with swings, slides and things to climb on and climb through.



There is also a soft play area with a ball pool for younger people.  You can also play crazy golf on the golf course near the car park.

You can watch birds like hawks and owls at the centres bird area at certain times (call first).



There are toilets and disabled access toilets at the centre.  There is also free wheelchair hire.

Conkers has a mix of indoor and outdoor hands on experiences which keep visitors engaged for hours.

Disabled access indoors at the Discovery Centre and Waterside including toilets, restaurants and shops.

Outdoors the train and a lot of the trails are wheelchair friendly. There is also parking and mobility buggies are available with a driver, these need to be booked, call 01283 216633.

Elvaston Castle Country Park
At Elvaston Castle you can...


Four miles south-east of the city of Derby is Elvaston Castle Country Park.

As well as castle gardens, there is acre after acre of woodland and parkland to explore that has…
- a lake,
- picnic areas,
- children's play areas,
- caravan & camping site.

A tea room, information centre and gift shop are in the Castle building.
